Who is a good candidate for Vanquish ME treatments?

Adults over the age of 21 with excess fat that has not responded to diet and exercise are excellent candidates for the Vanquish ME. We want patients to be motivated to lose inches and able to do some exercise such as walking. Although the treatments are safe and totally non-invasive, there are some Individuals that are not candidates for this treatment. It is not recommended for patients who have implantable devices such as a pacemaker or joint replacements that are close to the area to be treated.

How does Vanquish ME eliminate fat cells?

Radiofrequency energy is attracted to water in the tissues so the energy penetrates down to the fat layer and it stays at that level and heats the fat cells much warmer than the skin temperature. Some of the fat cells will die from the heat and they will break open and be cleared by the body. At the skin level, it feels like a warm heating pad during the treatment. Most patients nap during the 45 minute treatments.

Are there any side effects to the Vanquish ME treatments?

Generally there are no side effects to the treatments. Occasionally a small nodule may develop in the deep tissue which may be mildly tender. Nodules are composed of groups of dead fat cells. Nodules will resolve over the course of a few days or weeks.
