Microneedling

Microneedling has become one of the most sought-after treatments for rejuvenating the skin by building new collagen and healthy new cells. We love the advanced DermaPen for its smooth action. The one-time use disposable tips have tiny needles that rapidly oscillate up and down into the top layers of the skin to stimulate new growth from within.

Combined with growth factors, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and even stem cells there is rapid stimulation and healing of the cells right down to the dermal layer. This treatment can tighten skin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and even minimize scars. Often done as a series of 3 or 4 treatments, you will have visible changes noticeable from the first treatment.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment which employs tiny oscillating needles in an electric pen (DermaPen) moving quickly over the skin to infuse stem cells and growth factors into the tissue and stimulate new collagen. The procedure is also known as CIT, Collagen Induction Therapy. Local topical anesthesia is used prior to the treatment so there is minimal discomfort.

Who is a good candidate for microneedling?

Microneedling is an excellent treatment for fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, age and sun spots, aging skin, reduced skin elasticity, uneven skin tone, large pores and stretch marks. People who are not good candidates include anyone with open wounds or cystic skin changes, hypertrophic scarring, psoriasis or eczema. It is not advisable during pregnancy.

Is there any preparation beforehand?
